Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi

Welcome to Delhi, a city that bridges two different worlds. Old Delhi, once the capital of Islamic India, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling havelis and formidable mosques. In contrast, New Delhi, created during the British Raj, is composed of spacious tree lined avenues and impressive government buildings.

Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, you will meet our representative who will assist you and transfer you to your hotel. Standard hotel check in is typically mid afternoon, and we will do our best to support early check in when available.

Day 2: New Delhi

After breakfast, begin your guided morning tour in seventeenth century Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, the royal mosque built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1656. Next, enjoy a bicycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, passing the spice market and jeweller lanes, then continue with a drive past the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You will then visit the house of Mahatma Gandhi, a powerful and meaningful stop that preserves the memory of his final days. Later, visit Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, one of the most prominent Sikh temples in Delhi, known for its beautiful Sarovar pool and serene atmosphere.

Built between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, the Taj Mahal is one of the most revered masterpieces in the world.

Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, continue toward Jaipur with a stop at Abhaneri to visit Chand Baori, a spectacular stepwell built to conserve rainwater. It is about 20 metres deep with 13 levels, and its geometric symmetry is a remarkable example of ancient engineering.
